The auto bug never left him and he has progressed to his current position at Memorial Drive Tire & Auto for over 13 years.

Ray’s leadership and expertise, along with superior skills as a diagnostician, sets the high standards followed by every one of our auto service technicians. He helps to train our team and enjoys showing our customers what he sees in their cars, how to maintain them as well as resolve any issues they may experience. We appreciate his dedication to going the extra mile to service your car.
Born in California and moving to Texas as a teen, Ray’s life is rounded with family, music, travel, cooking and more. Ray is our chief in residence at MDTA.
Hieu Tran, Technician
Mr. Tran came to the field of auto repair after working on airplanes for the U. S. Air Force in Vietnam. As a young man it was obvious he had the ability to problem solve and the initiative to follow through when it was needed.
He was so well liked he found a sponsor, migrated to the United States, and soon after became a citizen. He found that Connecticut was a bit chilly for his tastes and since he had friends in Texas he found his way back to warm weather in Houston.
Married with one son, Mr. Tran is a dedicated husband and dad. He is a professional auto repair technician whom we count on for his dedication, loyalty and willingness to go the distance to figure out why your car is not working the way it should and then fix it.
Ricardo Lara, General Service Technician
With over two decades of experience in auto repair and maintenance, Ricardo is dedicated to thoroughness when he is assigned to your car. He began his career here when the Goodyear Company owned the shop and stayed when MDTA became a privately owned business.
Ricardo has outstanding patience and attention to detail, looking at every car carefully to identify issues that are on the horizon, to avoid little problems becoming big. Ricardo always is learning more about technical work, working with the technicians and adding technical skills to his list of abilities.
Quietly efficient, methodical and capable are the attributes we assign to Ricardo.
Gerald Sanchez, General Service Technician
Gerald has been working on cars with a passion since the age of 25. He received his state inspector license the following year. He has been an integral part of the MDTA team for over 10 years and enjoys all aspects of his job.
His duties include general maintenance work (oil changes, tires, batteries), inspecting cars, driving customers home or to work and anything else that is needed to provide excellent customer service to everyone that trusts us with their vehicle.
Gerald is our “go to” guy no matter the job or the temperature. He enjoys his work and is our very own smile emoji.
